Each flute has small serrations to tear up the chips as the bit is cutting through the project. This bit has a feed rate in-between that of a roughing bit and a standard spiral router bit. The down cut spiral design provides the best top surface edges, ejecting chips away from the router when routing through material. This design also decreases the tendency to lift thin/small work pieces during CNC routing.
